DOG PARKS

Dog Parks are a great place to take your canine pal for some fun. You will find those listed below are wonderful spots for you to spend time with your special “man’s best friend.”

Carl Johnson County Park has one of the few beaches in the region where dogs are allowed to run and enjoy the Gulf of Mexico waters.

This large sandbar is on the north shore of New Pass and is the perfect place to spend the day sunbathing with canine friends.

Typically crowded on weekends, it is nevertheless a nice spot to watch the sun set over New Pass and the Gulf of Mexico.

This beach area is located on Hickory Boulevard near Lovers Key State Park.

There is plenty of free parking however you will find no people facilities. The park is open from dawn to dusk every day and there are no fees.

Rover Run Dog Park in Collier County is located at Veterans Community Park.

The park is on the south side of Immokalee Road between Goodlette-Frank and Airport.

The park hours are 8am to 10pm every day and Rover Run is open from dawn to dusk.

The dog-run has a fenced-in area for small dogs and one for large dogs.

At present, this is the only Collier County park that welcomes dogs.

The park is a very pleasant area with lots of foliage where you can sit and enjoy the scenery as well as watching the dogs. Consider taking a folding chair with you for your comfort.

Central Bark, has recently opened.

It is located in the City of Naples on the northeast corner of Goodlette-Frank Road and Central Avenue in the Riverside Circle.

There are no fees for this fenced-in park, however you must have a permit.

The 2.5 acres has separate off-leash areas for small and large dogs. Amenities include water fountains, benches, a dog-washing station, poop-bag dispenser, and a shaded structure.

Canine Cove Dog Park is in Marco Island at Mackie Park.

You will find it 1361 Andalusia Terrace.

The hours are from 8am to 10pm and you will find individually fenced areas for small and large dogs.

Dogs must be on a leash no longer than eight feet. Restroom facilities are available.
