Germain Arena is the place to go if you like live entertainment.
It is the host site for the Florida Everblades Hockey Team. This ECHL team has provided exciting hockey action for the past eight years with an average attendance of over 6,000 fans. Southwest Florida fans support the season with much enthusiasm. Beginning March 2012, Germain Arena will also be the home for the Ultimate Indoor Football League’s Florida Tarpons.
Germain also features the Monster-X Tour for those who are fans of monster truck entertainment. Attendees are guaranteed plenty of action, dirt and noise for a wild time.
Many other special events such as the 2011 Get Motivated Business Seminar featuring Rudi Guiliani, Colin Powell and an all-star cast are offered. Video Games Live, Taste of Home Cooking School, Disney Live featuring Mickey’s Magic Show, the Harlem Globetrotters, and Smucker’s Stars on Ice, circuses and concerts are just some of the top-selling events offered at the Arena.
Open ice-skating is a very popular activity for all residents and vacationers alike. There are two adjacent recreational ice rinks (200 by 85 feet) that are enjoyed by all who like to skate. Skate rentals and equipment are available. And, the recreation department trains athletes in hockey and figure skating. Check with the arena for times available and events as times and prices are subject to change. At present, general admission is $7 and skate rental is $3. So come cool off for a day and let the fun begin!
Germain Arena is located in southwest Florida between Naples and Fort Myers in beautiful Estero. It is easy to reach right off I-75. From the north, take Exit 128, follow Alico Rd east to Ben Hill Griffin Parkway, turn right and follow the parkway to Arena entrance on the right. From the south, take exit 123 off I-75, follow Corkscrew Rd east to Ben Hill Griffin Parkway, turn left and follow the parkway to the Arena entrance.
