NAPLES FL BEACHES LOWDERMILK PARK BEACH

Naples Fl Beaches Lowdermilk Park is in the 1900 block of Gulf Shore Boulevard just south of the beautiful Edgewater Beach Resort Hotel.

Many locals use this beach as it’s in a residential neighborhood of Old Town Naples. So, although it’s busy, there are around 120 parking spaces in the parking lot.

There is only a short walk to the actual beach from the parking lot which is nice if you have lots of beach toys, umbrellas, and coolers to lug to the beach.

Another nice thing is that there are picnic tables just over the bridge on the grassy area and under palm trees which offer a shady spot.

This is a wonderful spot for Naples beach weddings. The setting is perfect with gazebo and the tropical atmosphere of the Gulf of Mexico.

Other amenities include a playground for children, a sheltered area for tables and a concession stand with a view of the Gulf. So bring your lunch or purchase it at the concession.

Either way, you will enjoy your outdoor eating. Additionally, you will discover restaurants across the street from the Park.

Restrooms are easily obtainable as are outdoor showers to remove the sand. The volleyball court is very popular, especially during the weekends. It is easier to acquire court time during weekdays.

This isn’t the best beach for long walks unless you don’t mind wading into the water to go around rocks. Climbing over these rocks can be dangerous due to the barnacles and sharpness of the rocks.

There is approximately 1000 feet of beachfront which is perfect for sunbathing, swimming and playing in the sand! And don’t forget that it affords a great vantage point for that beautiful sunset on the Gulf of Mexico.

Insider Tips: If you want a fantastic lunch walk up to the Edgewater Beach Resort Hotel, and eat around the pool under the Tiki Hut. Kathy use to live next door and loved walking over for lunch or a salty Margarita! What a fun way to enjoy a Naples Florida vacation.
