Naples Fl beaches Vanderbilt Beach is a superb beach with miles of beautiful sand for long Gulf shore walks.
You can stroll north up to Delnor Wiggins Pass State Park beach or south past Pelican Bay which is a resort community on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico.
Vanderbilt Beach, located in the North Naples area is at the end of Vanderbilt Beach Road off US 41 Tamiami Trail and is adjacent to Ritz Carlton’s Beach Resort where fine dining for lunch is provided if you are in proper attire.
VANDERBILT BEACH ENTRANCE…
provides public restrooms and a circle drive that allows an easy way to drop off all your beach gear. There is a public parking garage just half a block from the entrance to the beach.
Bring in your own cooler, beach gear and toys with you. Liquor is not permitted on the beach. There’s a great ice cream snack bar right on the corner before the entrance – the coconut ice cream is delicious!
Another nice informal restaurant is Buzz’s Lighthouse which is about one block away from the beach entrance on Gulf Shore Drive just off Vanderbilt Beach Road. This low-key restaurant has great grouper sandwiches and serves liquor. Its location being on one of the many Vanderbilt Beach canals is a nice respite after being on the hot sunny beach all morning long.
