TIGERTAIL BEACH

Tigertail Beach is a beautiful park with sparkling white sand to make your day of sunbathing, water fun, or even birding the place to be. The beach is located at Hernando Drive on Marco Island. It is one of the most popular beaches in Collier County and is open daily from 8 am until sunset.

From Naples, follow US41 SE (East Tamiami Trail) to Collier Boulevard. Turn right and continue to Marco Island, approximately 8-1/2 miles then turn right onto Tigertail Court. There will be signs to guide you.

Like all other beaches, parking is free with a beach parking permit, otherwise, the cost is $8. You may purchase permits at Caxambas Park on Marco Island. Please call 239-642-0004 for information. To read more about beach parking, click here!

Tigertail Beach is listed as a well-known birding site by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation. Sand Dollar Island, across the tidal lagoon, is a natural habitat for the many shorebirds who make the Island their nesting area. What a treat to be able to watch these unique birds as they hunt for their food. Among the birds that you may spot are plovers, least terns, roseate spoonbills, bald eagles, osprey, and pelicans. There are birding tours and various educational programs given by Park Rangers.
