NAPLES PHILHARMONIC CENTER FOR THE ARTS

The Naples Philharmonic is one of the reasons that southwest Florida is known for offering the best of everything.

The beautiful facility is located in the Pelican Bay area of Naples.

It is home to the nationally recognized Philharmonic Orchestra which performs throughout the year.

The Philharmonic also houses the Patty and Jay Baker Naples Museum of Art.

The Museum features several permanent collections as well as various exhibitions.

The “Phil”, as it is affectionately known, is best recognized for its schedule of live entertainment.

There is truly something for everyone on their calendar including Ballet, Broadway, Big Band, Bluegrass, Cabaret and much more.

Whether your tastes run to something new, like Cirque Dreams-Illumination, or something traditional, like the Nutcracker, you will not be disappointed.

Take your children to the Nutcracker as a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season. They will truly be in awe of the music and the ballet.

There is a major emphasis on giving back to the community which the Philharmonic does in many ways.

They emphasize educational experiences with the fine arts by sponsoring field trips that bring area students to see productions as well as art exhibits.

They also offer discounted tickets for music teachers and their students.

The Magic Carpet series of forty-five minute concerts are designed for children ages 3-9, however, these events are so exciting that they are enjoyed by everyone in attendance. Each Magic Carpet Concert features one section of the orchestra, the woodwinds, brass, percussion, and strings. All tickets for these concerts are $8.00.

The Philharmonic Youth Orchestra has auditions yearly and performs several times. These concerts are exceptional and the talented middle and high school students perform a range of music from film-scores to classical.
